Long time no see!
2016年3月16日 TCG全般 コメント (2)I haven’t played Doomsday in months, sorry!
Anyway, I played in an event in Hachinohe last weekend.
This was my deck.
4 Flooded Strand (溢れかえる岸辺)
4 Polluted Delta (汚染された三角州)
1 Misty Rainforest (霧深い雨林)
3 Underground Sea
2 Volcanic Island
2 Island (島)
1 Swamp (沼)
4 Lion’s Eye Diamond (ライオンの瞳のダイアモンド)
1 Lotus Petal (水蓮の花びら)
1 Chromatic Sphere (彩色の宝球)
4 Sensei’s Divining Top (師範の占い独楽)
4 Gitaxian Probe (ギタクシア派の調査)
4 Ponder (思案)
4 Brainstorm (渦まく知識)
3 Cabal Therapy (陰謀団式療法)
4 Duress (強迫)
4 Dark Ritual (暗黒の儀式)
1 Rain of Filth (汚物の雨)
1 Ideas Unbound (留まらぬ発想)
4 Burning Wish (燃え立つ願い)
1 Laboratory Maniac (研究室の偏執狂)
3 Doomsday (最後の審判)
Sideboard
1 Shelldock Isle (殻船着の島)
2 Tropical Island
1 Void Snare (虚空の罠)
1 Cabal Therapy (陰謀団式療法)
4 Abrupt Decay (突然の衰微)
1 Cruel Bargain (残酷な取り引き)
1 Doomsday(最後の審判)
1 Massacre (虐殺)
1 Tendrils of Agony (苦悶の触手)
1 Empty the Warrens (巣穴からの総出)
1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn (引き裂かれし永劫、エムラクール)
I replaced the Xantid Swarms with Shelldock Isle and Emrakul.
Xantid Swarm is good against Show and Tell...
However, I often win against Show and Tell anyway.
I have had trouble making a plan for the Miracles match.
Emrakul makes the Miracles match easier. Just cast Doomsday, then cast Emrakul!
Eldrazi has become popular. I expected many Chalice Decks.
I should not have played Doomsday, but all my decks are weak against Chalice.
Round 1 - Eldrazi
Game 1, I keep a hand with 2 LED, and Burning Wish.
My opponent mulligans to 5, goes first, and plays turn 1 Chalice of the Void (X=1).
My Turn 1, I cast Empty the Warrens for 10 Goblins.
(W)
-1 Island, Misty Rainforest, Chromatic Sphere, 1 Gitaxian Probe, 2 Duress, 1 Cabal Therapy, Rain of Filth
+Shelldock Isle, 2 Tropical Island, 4 Abrupt Decay, Emrakul
Game 2, I lost quickly.
Turn 1 Chalice, Turn 2 Phyrexian Revoker, Turn 3 Endless One (X=5).
(L)
-1 LED
+1 Duress
Game 3, my hand is Doomsday, Dark Ritual, Duress, Burning Wish, Polluted Delta, LED, LED.
My opponent mulligans to five.
I can choose: Duress, or Doomsday(Emrakul).
I pick Duress because I don’t want to lose to Wasteland.
My opponent’s hand is Warping Wail, Warping Wail, Ancient Tomb, Mishra’s Factory, Eldrazi Temple.
I discard one Wail, but the second Wail means I can’t cast Doomsday...
However, my opponent draws Phyrexian Revoker, and plays it (naming LED). Lucky!
I draw Gitaxian Probe on my turn. Cast Doomsday, cast Gitaxian Probe for Shelldock Isle.
My opponent does not draw Wasteland, so I win.
(W)
Round 2 - Sneak Show
Game 1, we both mulligan.
My opponent casts Show and Tell and puts Emrakul into play.
I untap, and win with Doomsday.
(W)
-1 LED, 1 Gitaxian Probe, Chromatic Sphere
+Shelldock Isle, Cruel Bargain, Emrakul
Game 2, I mulligan to a hand with Gitaxian Probe, Rain of Filth, Ponder, and 3 lands.
I don’t find discard, so I lose.
(L)
Game 3, I discard all of my opponent’s cards, then cast Doomsday and play Shelldock Isle.
My opponent has no options, but he doesn’t understand Shelldock Isle so he thinks for a long time.
He casts Vendillion Clique, but he taps Ancient Tomb to lose 2 life (15 life remaining).
I cast Emrakul and attack.
(W).
Round 3 - 4c Delver
Game 1, I can’t win the game until I am at 7 life.
My opponent’s only card is Lightning Bolt.
Half of 7 is 3 so I can’t cast Doomsday.
(L)
-1 Gitaxian Probe, Laboratory Maniac
+Void Snare, Cruel Bargain
Game 2, My opponent’s hand is all Delvers, no counters.
He has no defense, and dies.
(W)
Game 3, I am very unhappy.
My opponent plays many Tarmogoyf and Deathrite Shaman.
This is a very bad strategy against Storm.
However, I can’t punish his mistakes; I am too slow.
Deathrite Shaman is very strong!
(L)
Round 4 - Dragon Stompy
I know my opponent is playing Chalice;
This opponent made my friend rage-quit with Trinisphere.
(頭、謝ることはない)
Game 1, I mulligan a hand with too many 1 mana spells.
I keep a hand that can cast Laboratory Maniac, and Burning Wish for Goblins.
My opponent casts 2 Chalices (X=1, X=0).
He also has Stormbreath Dragon, so I can’t race.
(L)
-Misty Rainforest, Chromatic Sphere, 1 Gitaxian Probe, 1 Ponder, 1 Cabal Therapy, Rain of Filth
+2 Tropical Island, 4 Abrupt Decay
Game 2, I cast Duress for Trinisphere.
My opponent casts Seething Song for 5 mana for Thundermaw Hellkite.
I cast Burning Wish for Void Snare to bounce the Hellkite.
My opponent’s next draw is Ancient Tomb, so he recasts Hellkite.
I draw and cast Ponder to find Dark Ritual and Gitaxian Probe, the two cards I need to win.
I can only draw one, though. I draw Dark Ritual.
My opponent casts Blood Moon, and I need to fetch Tropical Island to cast Abrupt Decay.
Fetching Tropical Island shuffles away Gitaxian Probe. My next draw isn’t a draw spell.
(L)
Round 5 - Grixis Delver
I didn’t take notes for these games.
I won Game 1. I don’t remember the whole game, but a special situation happened.
I remember my opponent casting Turn 1 Gitaxian Probe; I have Sensei’s Top and Ponder.
He saw my hand, so I don’t plan to cast Top and lose to Daze. I cast Ponder.
He thinks for a long time about Ponder, so I know 100% he has a Daze.
When you see my hand, decide if you would counter Ponder before I cast it.
Don’t leak information!
(W)
-1 Gitaxian Probe, Laboratory Maniac
+Void Snare, Cruel Bargain
I lost Game 2. The game was very long.
I cast Cruel Bargain and tried to win with natural Tendrils. No luck!
My opponent also made a mistake with Surgical Extraction.
Most of my opponents make this mistake:
Usually, when I cast Duress, opponents cast Surgical Extraction.
In many situations, I cannot win against Surgical Extraction. Don’t cast it too early!
(L)
Game 2 was so long I forgot I won Game 1, so I showed my opponent my sideboard cards.
When he presented his deck I realized my mistake, and this is how I sideboarded.
-1 Cabal Therapy, 1 Doomsday
+1 Cabal Therapy, 1 Doomsday
(My opponent wasn’t paying attention but I did this just in case.)
Game 3, I don’t remember what happened, but I lost.
(L)
The tournament was Chalice Hell...
But that’s not the reason I didn’t do well.
I lost all my matches against Delver opponents.
Normally, I would say the better player wins the Storm v. Delver match.
In my first Delver match, I lost to Deathrite Shaman.
The Delver player was a new person, so I don’t know his skill level.
However, he made strategic mistakes and I couldn’t take advantage.
I think I must have made mistakes somewhere to lose the match.
In my second Delver match, I am also sure I made mistakes.
The matches are much more difficult against opponents with Cabal Therapy, but that’s no excuse.
I need more experience against Delver players!
The games are shorter, so the decisions matter far more...
I’m not sure I’m making the right decisions.
Also, I’m not sure about siding in Void Snare.
It seems too slow to cast Burning Wish for it...
I knew there would be many Chalice decks today.
I don’t have any decks that are good against Chalice.
So, I am making a deck that is stronger against Chalice.
It’s very expensive.
...Does anyone have Imperial Recruiters?
チャリスの地獄だった。
もう知っていたのに、チャリスに弱いデッキしか作られない。
より強いデッキを作りたいから、日本語版の「帝国の徴募兵」が欲しい。誰か持っている?
